Mawar Community Services (MCS) was formed nearly four decades ago to serve the Malay Muslim community, especially for those who have been wayward in parts of their life. The aim is to help such individuals to be accepted by their families and facilitate their integration into the larger society. Members of MCS should be equipped with the necessary skills for them to embark on a new beginning.
Over the years, MCS has extended its services into many other areas. Services to enhance personal growth have been inculcated into various MCS programs. Services such as job training and placement, counselling services (which encompasses addiction, mental and family-related issues), and the application of a certificate-of-clearance are now provided for its members.
To promote inclusiveness, MCS is also expanding its services to all other ethnic groups. MCS will open its doors to anyone who seeks its help regardless of race or religion in the spirit of one Singapore.
